The Rubi Tools DRYGRES 4GRINDER Diamond Drill Bits Kit (05996) is recommended for the drilling of all types of ceramic tile, especially porcelain stoneware, and other coating materials such as marble and granite.

Rubi Tools DRYGRES 4GRINDER Diamond Drill Bits Kit Features:

  • In the range of DRYGRES drills, Rubi has used the vacuum welding technology VACUUM BRAZED, which increases the resistance to temperature and friction, to fix the diamond particles to the cutting area.
  • The drilling depth of DRYGRES drills is 1-3/8".
  • The maximum operating speed 14,000 RPM. M14 thread finish. Usable with grinder (direct connection) or electric drill (adapter ref. 05976).
  • In diameters Ø 1/4", 5/16", 3/8", and 1/2", the DRYGRES contain wax inside. This wax melts during the use of the bit and facilitates the cooling and evacuation of the remains of the drilling (If the wax exhausts, the drill can continue working.) Only the total loss of the diamond indicates the end of the life of the drill).
  • DRYGRES drills (diameters Ø 3/4" to 3") have a lateral opening that improves the cooling of the bit and facilitates the elimination of solid waste after each drilling. Before making a new perforation, we must make sure that the bit is clean and free of any obstruction.
  • The average life of DRYGRES drills varies according to diameter. In the Ø 1/4" to 1/2" the average life is 25 holes and in the DRYGRES Ø 3/4" to 3" the average life is 60 holes.

For a better finish and longer life of the bit, it is important to respect the proper turning speed and perform a slight orbital movement while drilling.
